About the role

The Administration Coordinator position sits within the Gamadji Balit and Northern Better Futures directorate, reporting to the Director. This role is responsible for the coordination of administrative functions across various programs and the operations of the office including, support to the Senior Leadership team, coordination, and preparation of meetings, managing fleet vehicle and room booking systems, supporting recruitment needs and onboarding of staff etc. The Administration Coordinator is essential in ensuring quality service delivery to Aboriginal children and families by providing excellent office and administration services to VACCA’s internal and external stakeholders.

About You

  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
  • Demonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, managers, and clients both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills such as prioritisation of tasks and meeting expected timelines.
  • Ability to undertake general administrative tasks and handling confidential information and materials.
  • Excellent organisational skills, problem solving, planning skills and consistent attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills, and experience with inputting and managing data in systems.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and work independently.
  • Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
