About the role

This Team Leader role guides and supports the Family Violence Therapeutic and Case Management team, helping drive culturally safe and effective services for Aboriginal families. You’ll work closely with other VACCA programs, provide regular professional supervision, and oversee key program functions including data, reporting and brokerage. The role also builds strong relationships with sector partners and represents VACCA in family violence networks, contributing to a connected, collaborative service system.

About You

You’re a dynamic practice leader who delivers culturally safe, trauma‑informed support to Aboriginal children and families experiencing family violence. You guide and mentor staff with strong therapeutic leadership, keep services flowing through timely intake and case work, and build great partnerships across the sector. You’re organised, data‑savvy and always looking for ways to improve programs, strengthen best practice and develop culturally strong, innovative responses that make a real impact.

  • Desirable: 
  • Previous experience in Family Violence and Team leader role.
  • MARAM Rating of these positions: Comprehensive, Tier Level 1
  • Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, family therapy, counselling or a related discipline and experience working within the Therapeutic space.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role
  • Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
