About the role
The Orange Door Hub provides a safe and welcoming space for individuals and families facing family violence or seeking support for their children’s wellbeing. Offering tailored intake, assessment, and referral services, the Hub ensures quick access to the right care and safety. It also works with those using violence to foster accountability. VACCA’s Hume Merri-Bek Orange Door team delivers high-quality, holistic support to Aboriginal women, men, and children, focusing on addressing family violence and promoting overall well-being.
About You
The Aboriginal Practice Leader (APL) plays a key role in providing culturally safe support to Aboriginal people. Collaborating with the Hub team, the APL builds strong partnerships with local Aboriginal services and communities, offering expert guidance on family violence and child wellbeing services. They ensure cultural safety, provide secondary consultations, and oversee high-risk cases, while promoting inclusivity and competence within the Hub.
