About the role
As a Case Manager within VACCA's Family Services team, you'll support Aboriginal children, families, and individuals referred to our program. Working with a multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate with families, carers, and stakeholders to provide culturally appropriate, trauma-informed support. Your role will empower families to actively participate in decision-making and share their stories, fostering self-determination and positive outcomes for those in need.
About You
The ideal candidate demonstrates a deep commitment to VACCA’s values and vision, working in a culturally respectful and competent manner with Aboriginal youth, families, and communities to maintain cultural connections. They possess a strong understanding of the impact of colonisation and intergenerational trauma on Aboriginal families, particularly those involved with Child Protection. With experience in evidence-informed practices, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, they can work both independently and as part of a small team. They excel at building trusting relationships with families, supporting them in setting and achieving goals and collaborating with other organisations to deliver positive outcomes.
