About the role

Be the first point of contact for Aboriginal clients at the Orange Door Hub, providing culturally responsive intake, assessment, and short-term support. Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective responses and connect clients with services that promote long-term wellbeing.

About You

This role delivers short-term case management and crisis support to Aboriginal clients at the NEMA Orange Door Hub. It involves intake, assessment using MARAM, care planning, and outreach, while ensuring respectful engagement and cultural safety. The position also manages client records, reporting requirements, and brokerage allocation. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the role supports continuous improvement, compliance with OH&S and policy standards, and contributes to a culturally strong and responsive service environment.

  • Requirements:
  • A degree in social work (or equivalent) or willingness to work toward the qualification in line with the mandatory minimum qualifications policy, or significant lived experience relevant to the work
  • Minimum two years’ experience in the Family Violence sector
  • Where a degree is commenced but not completed, the salary will be fixed at Award Level 4 until successful completion
  • Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
