About the role
The Case Manager, part of the Family Services team, supports Aboriginal children and families referred to VACCA. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the role collaborates with parents, carers, and key stakeholders to deliver culturally safe, integrated support. Through trauma-informed and culturally appropriate engagement, the Case Manager empowers families to share their stories and address their needs.
About You
This role supports Aboriginal families through assertive outreach and culturally safe engagement, helping parents build strengths in areas such as parenting, child development, safety, and financial literacy. Case Managers facilitate group sessions, use reflective practice and mentoring, and provide access to cultural resources to strengthen community connections.
They conduct ongoing safety assessments, implement wellbeing strategies, and ensure the family's voice is central throughout the process. Support is delivered in familiar environments at home, on Country, and in community settings, while working with children in trauma-informed, culturally appropriate ways. The role includes leading care team meetings, monitoring progress, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and participating in regular supervision.
