About the role

The Orange Door (TOD) Case Support Worker will provide support to VACCAs Bayside Peninsula Area (BPA) Orange Door Team by undertaking a range of case related administrative tasks, data collection, providing triage to incoming clients, participating in allocation meetings and minute take for the BPA team meetings.

About You

  • Commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
  • Diploma in community services or equivalent or a lived experience and an ability to work towards attaining higher qualifications.
  • Ability to apply flexible, non-judgmental and empowering approach to service delivery.
  • Knowledge of local family violence programs, accommodation, legal, health and community services within the region – or the ability to acquire that knowledge.
  • Ability to foster positive working relationships with other agencies and experience with shared casework, or group work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member in a challenging environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills, sound verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Family Domestic Violence models (MARAM,), approaches, theories and practiced when dealing with clients.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Information sharing scheme (FVISS, CISS)
  • Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
