• Position    : Part Time (15.2hrs) per week
• Status       : Fixed term role till December 2026
• Location   : Wodonga, with travel to other sites as required
• Salary      : $97,377.80 - $101,787.92, plus super and salary packaging is available

The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia. About the role

About You

• An understanding and awareness of Aboriginal communities and the issues facing Aboriginal children, youth, and families today.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating groups and cultural and community events and activities.
• Strong analytical, solution focused approach with high level organisational abilities and interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in Community engagement and consultations skills to strengthen and foster relationships with community, agencies, and government departments in the Ovens Murray Region.
• Ability in writing and preparing high quality reports and acquitting project funding.
• Demonstrated experience in providing cultural advice within a professional setting
• Requirements: 
• Certificate or Diploma in community development, social work, youth work or a related discipline or have at least three years’ experience in the Child and Family Services system
• Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
