About the role

This Team Leader position is responsible for the management and effective delivery of specialist family services programs including Specialist Disability, Early Help, Community Connectors, Intake and Case Support worker across the Western and Brimbank/Melton regions

About You

  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
  • Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of policies, legislation, current reforms relevant to family services operations. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices of culturally safe case management practices, child development, and risk assessment.

Requirements 

  • Relevant qualification in social work, youth work, psychology or related discipline and at least three years’ experience in the child and family service system. 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role, desirable. 
  • You must have and continue to hold a full Victorian Driver’s Licence, a current employment Working with Children Check card and a clear National Police Check
