About the role
The Navigator Case Worker will support young people disengaged from education by working within a multidisciplinary team across VACCA, Jesuit Social Services, and Anglicare. Based in Brunswick and Preston, the role involves assessment, educational planning, and ongoing support. It focuses on re-engaging students, developing individual plans, and building partnerships with local agencies to improve outcomes.
About You
The role focuses on providing trauma-informed support and advocacy for young people and their families, with a strong emphasis on cultural connection and educational re-engagement. It involves coordinating engagement programs, sourcing culturally relevant learning resources, and supporting parents and carers. The position also includes developing individual learning and re-engagement plans, attending student group meetings, and contributing to educational assessments. Building strong partnerships with schools, service providers, and local agencies is key, along with mentoring team members and participating in VACCA programs and cultural events.
