- Salary: $100,783 - $105,349 plus superannuation and salary package

About the role
This role is responsible for providing timely responses for PUV’s by linking them with services that assist with maintaining positive behavioural change that promotes the safety of women and children to reduce the risk associated with perpetrators' use of family violence by providing a holistic response to address any barriers to engaging in the change process.
The role will work as part of the VACCA Team in the Betterway Program in partnership with Anglicare Victoria, to provide a holistic response to Aboriginal Families under the Safer Together Model.
About You
- Commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
- A bachelor’s degree in social work (or equivalent) or willingness to work toward the qualification in line with the mandatory minimum qualifications policy or significant lived experience relevant to the work
- A comprehensive understanding of Family Violence and the implications on individuals, families, and the community
- Understanding of the men's behaviour changes process and the gendered nature of family violence
- Sound knowledge of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, Information Sharing and Multi Agency Risk Assessment Framework (MARAM).
- Demonstrates effective and culturally appropriate interpersonal skills
- Commitment to advocating for non-violence, and to living non-violently with the families.
- Understanding of culturally appropriate service responses for Aboriginal clients.
- Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
