About the role
The Community Engagement Project Worker at Northern VACCA partners with the Team Leader to develop, organise and deliver both short- and long-term funded initiatives. They support Aboriginal men, families, youth, children and Elders across the northern region by facilitating program attendance, mentoring young people and assisting various client services. This role ensures culturally respectful, safe engagement and sustained community involvement.
About You
You will assist the Team Leader in planning and delivering client projects, events and activities, provide culturally respectful support, maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with VACCA’s policies and legislative requirements. You’ll also engage in team meetings and supervision, pursue ongoing professional development, uphold VACCA’s commitment to Aboriginal self-determination and support organizational initiatives and colleagues during busy periods.
- Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications, such as Diploma in Community Services or relevant experience willingness to enrol in further study
- Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
