About the role
Support young people and families to break the cycle of family violence through culturally safe, trauma-informed care. In this rewarding role, you’ll walk alongside adolescents using violence in the home, helping them and their families heal, grow, and reconnect through VACCA’s Cultural Therapeutic Ways framework and a Healing Through Culture approach.
About You
You are a compassionate and culturally aware practitioner who is passionate about supporting Aboriginal young people and families impacted by family violence. You bring a strength based and trauma-informed approach to building trusted relationships, engaging adolescents in meaningful ways, and supporting healing through culture. Confident working across outreach, home visits and community settings, you are adaptable, collaborative and committed to delivering high quality case management, advocacy and therapeutic support while contributing to culturally safe and best practice outcomes for community.
- Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
