About the role
This position will work in conjunction with Orange Door staff and Orange Door leadership in delivering the services to the Aboriginal women, men and children who enter the hub intake system to receive support and access the wider service system.
About You
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose and the capacity to take a leadership role in championing these internally and externally
- Demonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communities
- Proven ability to work and engage with Aboriginal families and children
- Demonstrated understanding and application of Family Domestic Violence models (MARAM,), approaches, theories and practiced when dealing with clients
- Demonstrated understanding and application of Information sharing scheme (FVISS, CISS)
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in social work, social sciences or related field or working experience and expertise in the sector.
- You must have and continue to hold a full Victorian Driver’s Licence, a current employment Working With Children Check card and a clear National Police Check
- Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable)
- Knowledge of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 and The MARAM Framework as this position is prescribed Tier 1-Comprehensive
