About the role

The Program Manager for the Kinship Finding Program will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of VACCA’s Aboriginal Kinship Finding program. You will provide leadership, direction, and support to ensure that the key responsibilities of this program are fulfilled, and that a quality and timely service is provided to stakeholders.

About You

• Demonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
• Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures and an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal people in contemporary Australia and the diversity of circumstances of Aboriginal people.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience in undertaking family research, writing reports and proposals
• Ability to provide advice and guidance to staff on how to undertake research and gather records.
• Demonstrated understanding of sensitive handling of information on children and their families that ensures privacy.
• Ability to prepare high-level written material such as policies, project plans, reports and other documentation as required.

Desirable

• Cert IV in Leadership and Management

Requirements

• Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. 
• Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
