About the role

Rooted in cultural strength and community spirit, the Case Manager walks alongside Aboriginal children and families, offering support through healing-informed and culturally grounded practice.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role nurtures connection, empowers families to share their stories in their own way, and supports self-determination through respectful collaboration with carers, kin, and community partners.

About You

The Case Manager supports Aboriginal families through culturally grounded, healing-informed practice. By building trust and connection, they help strengthen parenting, safety, and wellbeing. Families are empowered to share their stories, engage in decision-making, and reconnect with Community and Country. The role includes working with children in trauma-informed ways, leading care team meetings, and collaborating across VACCA and with external partners to support each family's journey toward resilience and self-determination.

• Requirements:
• Certificate, Diploma or Degree qualification in Community Services, Social Worker and/or substantial experience in these fields
• Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence 
• Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
