About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, this role is responsible for leading cultural therapeutic ways of the delivery of HR support and advice across VACCA. This position leads employment and employee relations, HR business support and HR partners in alignment with VACCA’s vision and purpose.
The Lead HR Partners plays a leadership role in establishing and building relationships across VACCA to deliver high-quality HR services and build capacity and expertise in people management practices across the organisation.
The Lead HR Partner manages HR services with four direct reports and two indirect reports
About You
- Commitment and understanding of the values that underpin VACCA’s vision and purpose and a willingness to champion these internally and externally
- Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures along with awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communities and commitment to continually build knowledge of such
- Leadership experience in providing HR advice, complex case management coaching and support and a strong understanding of relevant legislation and procedures
- Highly effective and culturally appropriate interpersonal skills, communication skills including the ability to credibly influence people and decisions
- Established capacity to lead change and undertake workplace investigations with integrity and discretion
- Demonstrated ability to use data, provide analysis and prepare reports in accordance with reporting schedule.
- Excellent organisational skills with degree of drive, initiative, time management skills and commitment to high-quality customer service.
- Well-developed skills to supervise, lead and build the capacity of a team consistent with VACCA policies and frameworks.
- Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
