About the role

The Case Support Worker provides culturally respectful, practical support to children, young people, and carers. You’ll help clients stay connected to their goals by assisting with transport, attending appointments, and engaging in educational, therapeutic, cultural, and recreational activities linked to their Case Plan and Targeted Care Package (TCP).

Working alongside a Key Worker and Team Leader, you’ll deliver allocated support hours designed to help children remain out of residential care and thrive in safe, community‑based environments.

About You

You’re someone who works respectfully and collaboratively to support children, young people, and carers. You’re confident helping with day‑to‑day activities like transport, appointments, and engagement in cultural, therapeutic, and educational supports, all guided by case plans and TCP goals. You keep clear, timely notes, follow VACCA’s policies, and contribute positively to team discussions and supervision. You value ongoing learning, uphold VACCA’s commitment to Aboriginal self‑determination, and step in to support your team when needed.

  • Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work casual hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Willingness to enrol or complete relevant community services studies
  • Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. 
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
