About the role
The Case Support Worker provides culturally safe support to Aboriginal children and their carers, helping with transport, appointments, and participation in cultural, therapeutic, educational and community activities. The role supports each child’s Case Plan and Targeted Care Package (TCP), with a focus on keeping children connected to culture and, where possible, out of residential care.
Working with the Key Worker and Team Leader, the Case Support Worker helps deliver the goals set out in each package.
About You
You’re a compassionate, culturally aware team player who supports children’s goals, works closely with Key Workers, keeps good records, follows VACCA values and contributes positively to the team.
- Requirements:
- Flexibility to work casual hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Willingness to enrol or complete relevant community services studies
- Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
- Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
