About the role

Reporting to the Western Regional Director & Executive Managers, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing:  Administrative support across the Western VACCA leadership team for internal and external meetings, and where required in achieving their governance responsibilities; and Project support as directed by the Director or Executive Managers The Executive Assistant reports directly to the Western Director & Executive Managers and will be based at the Werribee / Melton office with flexibility. 

About You

  • Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose and the capacity to take a leadership role in championing these internally and externally
  • Demonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communities
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the demonstrated ability to think and act strategically.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage several competing tasks, with minimal supervision and directio
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to deal with competing demands, meet timelines and schedule in advance multiple Western Directors and Executive Managers calendars and priorities.
  • Highly developed administrative skills, including word processing, Microsoft Outlook and minute taking.  

Requirements

  • Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
