About the role

As a Hub Practitioner, you will support Aboriginal individuals and families at critical moments, providing culturally safe intake, assessments and immediate support through the Orange Door Hub. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver short-term support and connect clients with the services they need to stay safe and move forward.

About You

You are experienced in providing short-term case management and crisis responses for Aboriginal clients, including completing intake, MARAM assessments and developing appropriate support plans. You engage respectfully and culturally safely, support client choice and self determination, and contribute to building a culturally strong Hub environment. You maintain accurate client records and reporting, assist with triage, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while actively engaging in supervision and continuous learning.

  • Requirements:
  • A degree in social work (or equivalent) or willingness to work toward the qualification in line with the mandatory minimum qualifications policy or significant lived experience relevant to the work
  • Minimum two years’ experience in Family Violence sector
  • Where a degree is commenced but not completed, salary will be fixed at Award Level 4 until successful completion
  • Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
