About the role

Join VACCA’s Eastern region as a Team Leader for our Targeted Care Package (TCP) program and make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal children and families. In this leadership role, you’ll guide a passionate team of Key Workers, oversee day-to-day program delivery, and ensure services are provided through a culturally safe and therapeutic lens.

You’ll champion VACCA’s Cultural Therapeutic Ways, a unique approach that promotes healing, empowerment, and strong cultural connections. Working closely with Child Protection and Aboriginal organisations, you’ll help shape positive outcomes for children and families while strengthening community partnerships.

About You

You’re a strong leader with a passion for culturally safe and therapeutic care. You bring expertise in overseeing programs like VACCA’s Targeted Care Packages and KEYS, ensuring services are delivered with integrity and cultural connection. You excel at guiding teams, shaping care plans, and building positive relationships with children, families, and the Aboriginal community.
Your strengths include strategic planning, compliance with legislation and policies, and fostering collaboration with key stakeholders. 

  • Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of Case Management experience in the Child, Youth and Family sector.
  • A relevant qualification in diploma or degree or equivalent in Youth Work, Social Work, Social Welfare Sector, or the like will be desirable.
  • Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
