About the role

The Case Support Worker delivers culturally respectful assistance to clients and/or carers, aiding in tasks like transportation, appointment attendance, and participation in educational, therapeutic, cultural, or leisure activities within the client's Case plan and allocated Targeted Care Package (TCP) funding. The TCP program's focus is on supporting children to exit or remain out of residential care, where possible.

The packages are developed with hours of support allocated against identified goals/needs, which the support workers will then work towards. The Case Support Worker will collaborate with the Key Worker (Case Manager) and Team Leader, who have developed the package and are working toward the broader goals within the TCP.

About You

• Demonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
• Willingness to enrol or complete relevant community services studies
• Understanding of child protection and out-of-home care systems, including permanency and reunification goals
• Sound administration skills, including the ability to record case notes, maintain files, use computer databases
• Proven and sound time management skills, communication skills, reliability, accountability and commitment to high quality client services
• Capacity to work both independently and as a member of a team
• Willingness to enrol or complete relevant community services studies
• Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
