About the role

Every day, Aboriginal children step into school carrying their culture, identity, and potential. As an Education Liaison Officer, you’ll help ensure they feel supported, understood, and empowered to thrive.
Working alongside schools, families, and community, you’ll build strong connections, advocate for student needs, and help create culturally safe learning environments, lifting attendance, wellbeing, and participation along the way.

About You

You’re someone who knows the power of connection, bringing together families, students, and schools to support strong educational outcomes for Aboriginal young people. With a deep respect for culture, you create safe, supportive spaces where students can engage, learn, and feel they belong.
You’re confident building partnerships, guiding activities that strengthen school participation, and linking families to the right supports when it matters most. You take pride in seeing progress, tracking impact, and sharing stories of change, helping ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.

• Desirable:
• Related tertiary qualifications in Education, Community Services, teaching and/or relevant work experience of two to three years in this role.
• Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. 
• Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
