The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia. About the role

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Philanthropy, OCEO you will be tasked to drive increased income from peer-to-peer fundraising events and manage VACCA Resources shop.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies across multiple channels
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate partners
  • Coordinate grant applications and manage reporting requirements
  • Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns
  • Collaborate with program teams to identify funding opportunities
  • Prepare compelling funding proposals and donor communications

About You

  • Proven experience in fundraising, preferably in community services or not-for-profit sector
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with grant writing and donor relationship management
  • Understanding of Aboriginal community priorities and cultural protocols
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  •  
  • Previous experience working or volunteering in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation would be highly regarded.
  • Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
